Exploring the MyWilts App by Wiltshire Council

In the age of digital innovation, local governments are leveraging technology to enhance citizen engagement and service delivery. Wiltshire Council has taken a significant step in this direction by introducing the MyWilts app, a dynamic platform designed to empower residents and facilitate efficient communication with local authorities.

Managed by Wiltshire Council, the MyWilts app is using technology is transforming the way communities interact with their governing bodies.

Making things quick and easy

When you use MyWilts to report an issue, like a big pothole, the app figures out which team should handle your problem, and it sends it straight to them. This helps get things sorted out faster because it goes to the right people right away.

Checking the progress

Once you've made an account, finding your way around MyWilts is easy. After logging in, just click on your name and choose "My cases." Here, you'll see a list of all the problems you told them about and you can keep track of what's happening.

More than just problems

MyWilts isn't only about telling the council when things need fixing. It's a bit like a jack-of-all-trades. You can also use it to do things like booking important events – think registering a birth, marriage, or even a civil ceremony.

And remember, it's not just about things that need fixing. MyWilts helps with other stuff too, like reporting abandoned cars, problems with roads, messy places and even tricky weather situations.

Improved mapping technology

Early this year, MyWilts app improved the mapping technology for street scene and enforcement reports and better email communication so people can receive more updates about the reports they have made.

Cllr Ashley O’Neill, cabinet member for digital, said:

“The MyWilts app is the quickest and easiest way for people to let us know about any issues they see while out and about in Wiltshire. People can use the app to let us know about issues such as road defects, fraud, fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles – and much more.

This updated version also offers improved maps, so people can more accurately plot where any issues are, making it easier for our teams to find the reports. Also improved is the email communication, so when people let us know about an issue they will receive more regular updates on the progress of their report.”

MyWilts, a community buddy

The MyWilts app is here to help you talk to Wiltshire Council about problems that matter to you, and it does it in a way that's super easy and convenient.

Making an account lets you keep tabs on your reported problems and add extra info. Plus, the app works smartly behind the scenes to make sure your issue gets to the right people.

So, whether it's a bumpy road or a messy park, the MyWilts app is your trusty tool to get things done. It's not just about reporting issues – it's about being part of a community that works together to make things better.
