If you're passionate about your local area, eager to drive positive change, and willing to dedicate your time and efforts to the betterment of your community, then stepping into the shoes of a Parish Councillor might be your calling.

Parish councillors are local volunteers who are elected every four years. Collingbourne Ducis Parish Council has eleven total councillor seats, each looking after various committees and responsibilities. We currently have nice councillors, with two open spaces.

By organizing events, workshops, and community gatherings, you can create spaces for people to come together, share experiences, and build lasting connections. These bonds not only enrich individual lives but also create a resilient and tightly-knit community.

Transparency and accountability are the bedrocks of effective governance. As a Parish Councillor, you'll have the opportunity to champion these principles by ensuring that decisions are made openly and communicated clearly to the community. By setting an example of open dialogue and inclusivity, you contribute to building trust and confidence in local government.

6. Leave a legacy

By becoming a Parish Councillor, you're not only impacting the present but also shaping the future. The initiatives you champion, the policies you advocate for, and the community spirit you foster can leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
